We recently learned of a Kenyan tradition worth embracing. A dinner of Thanksgiving is held to celebrate a special event: the healing of a relative, the birth of a child, a new job, etc. After hearing of such an awesome tradition, Psalms 34:1 came to mind, “I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.” We realized we should always have a thankful heart towards God, not just once a year!
To celebrate all that God has done for us this year, Cindi’s Hope hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner for the children, staff, and honored guests. We were delighted that the Acay and Wilkin families could join us for the evening. With CH pork as well as donated drinks and side dishes, the celebration was both a thanksgiving to The Lord and a gift to Cindi’s Hope.
