Statement of Faith
What We Believe

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son]. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

God
We believe in one God – holy, eternal, all-knowing, perfect, and sovereign over all things – who created all things and graciously planned from the beginning of time to reconcile man to Himself and to make all things new for His own glory. He exists in three divine persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus is God in human form, that He bears both human and divine natures and is fully God and fully man. We believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born to the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. He was crucified on the cross, buried and raised from the dead. We believe in Jesus as our representative and substitute – that his sacrifice on the cross was both necessary and sufficient, satisfying God’s justice and mercy toward man. We believe that anyone can find salvation through Christ and Christ alone.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the Third Person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates sinners, and unites believers with Christ, sealing them with the promise of adoption into the family of God. He indwells, comforts, guides, teaches, and empowers believers to live a victorious, Christ-centered life.
The Bible
We believe in the inspired word of God – that both the Old and New Testaments were spoken by God and recorded in the words of human authors. We believe that the Bible is without error in its original writings and that it represents God’s complete will regarding salvation. We believe in the infallibility of the Scriptures, and that the Bible is the ultimate authority upon which all human knowledge and actions are to be judged. The Bible is to be believed, obeyed, and trusted in all matters of life.
